oropa music festival

Founded by young concert pianist Federico Gad Crema, the Oropa Music Festival is a week-long festival at the foothills of one of the most beautiful valleys in Europe, where world-renowned soloists perform alongside internationally-acclaimed conductors with the POP Orchestra, and in new exciting chamber music ensembles.

“The atmosphere is one of total equality and inclusivity: the music serves as a bridge between any and all of our differences, a language through which we can all listen and understand.” – Federico Gad Crema, artistic director

Home of the innovative Peace Orchestra Project, the Oropa Music Festival welcomed legendary artists such as Martha Argerich, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Marc-André Hamelin, Ricardo Castro, Francesco Piemontesi, and the shiniest of rising stars including Aubree Oliverson, Giuseppe Mengoli, Alexandra Achillea Pouta, Luca Buratto, Aleksey Shadrin and many others.

“A stunning location, a magical ambience, and beautiful, soul-cleansing music: a humanitarian project for a new world.” – Federico Gad Crema, artistic director
