Born in 1999, Italian concert pianist and conductor Federico Gad Crema is considered one of the most captivating artists of his generation. Praised by Gramophone for his “lyrical expansiveness and warmth” and hailed as “un pianiste remarquable” by Diapason Magazine, he has already graced the stages of the world’s leading venues, making highly acclaimed solo debuts at Teatro alla Scala, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto K488, and at the Grande Salle Boulez of the Philharmonie de Paris, performing Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto n.2 op.102.

An internationally sought-after musician, he is a guest at major festivals and concert series, including the Bologna Festival, Classica Ascona, Festival de Pâques in Aix-en-Provence, Società del Quartetto di Milano, and Lingotto Musica. Mr. Crema regularly partners with world-renowned artists such as Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Gil Shaham, Renaud Capuçon, and has embarked on an international tour with legendary pianist Martha Argerich.

His solo orchestral engagements feature performances with the Orchestra dell’Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, New Mexico Philharmonic, Symphonic Orchestra of Cannes, and the San Antonio Symphony, under the batons of esteemed conductors including David Coleman, Roberto Abbado, Kimbo Ishii, Ricardo Castro, Sebastian Lang-Lessing and Giuseppe Mengoli. Equally compelling on the podium, his current 2026 season highlights include a return to Brazil to conduct the Neojiba Orchestra, as well as leading the Peace Orchestra Project on a six-concert tour across Italy in September.

Beyond his performing career, Mr. Crema is a dedicated artistic leader and advocate for social change. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Oropa Music Festival, and in 2023 he established the Peace Orchestra Project, an inclusive program aimed at giving a renewed purpose to the symphonic orchestra by using it as a platform for social transformation, peace, and integration in our society, through the power of music.

Winner of numerous prestigious international piano competitions in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Greece and the USA, he has been awarded 1st Prize and special prize at the renowned CIAD International Piano Competition, 3rd Prize and Special Prize at the Casagrande International Piano Competition, and 2nd Prize, Best Contemporary Piece Award and Audience Award at the Olga Kern International Piano Competition.

After graduating summa cum laude from the G. Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan, he continued his studies at the prestigious Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles.
He now holds three Master’s Degrees with high honors from the Conservatory of Milan (2021), the Haute École de Musique de Genève (2023), and the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin (2025), under the guidance of Kirill Gerstein. He is currently mentored by conductor Michele Spotti.

Mr. Crema proudly wears unique haute couture creations, exclusively made in Italy featuring fabrics by “F.lli Tallia di Delfino”.
